Joinery Assistant / Labourer / Apprentice (Entry Level Position)
Position Overview:
Asmbl Joinery is excited to offer an opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Joinery Assistant / Apprentice. This entry-level position is perfect for someone eager to step into the world of joinery and learn the trade from the ground up. Whether you're a student looking for practical experience or someone with a keen interest in joinery and woodworking, this role provides a great starting point.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting experienced joiners in the cutting and assembly of various joinery items.
Operating CNC machines under supervision, with training provided.
Helping with deliveries and the assembly of joinery items in workshop, ensuring a high standard of workmanship.
Learning and adhering to safety standards and best practices in the workshop.
Qualifications and Skills:
No prior experience in joinery is required, making this an ideal position for beginners.
A willingness to learn and a proactive approach to tasks.
Basic understanding of tools and machinery is beneficial but not mandatory.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
Physical fitness, as the role involves manual handling and on-site work.
Employment Details:
This is a casual role, with work available 2-3 days per week, making it suitable for students or those with flexible schedules.
Pay starts at $20 per hour, with the potential for an increase based on skills and experience gained.
Comprehensive training will be provided, with the opportunity to learn from skilled professionals in the field.
